The state of Gujarat is the flag-bearer of the Smart School project in the country and an inspiration for the rest of the states of India. In Gujarat, a total of 15,173 Digital Classrooms have been developed in 5268 schools. Initiative of Smart Schools is benefitting more than 8,00,000 children in the state wherein, E-content and ICT-enabled services have been implemented. All the 15,173 ICT-enabled Smart Classrooms are equipped with E-content & Digital Devices. Internet bandwidth has also been provided to all such schools with smart classrooms.

Hence, Samagra Shiksha has taken an initiative to have a community of school teachers and children interested in ICT field who can be trained further in ICT related areas such as basics of Hardware & Electronics equipment, basic Computing, Animation, Video Making, Cyber Safety, etc., State can also have separate community of students ‘Small Wonders ICT Club’ at school level to promote the digital skills starting from the primary level.
