ICT@Schools

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is universally acknowledged as a catalyst for social transformation and national progress. To enhance the learning outcome and impart the Computer Education in Gujarat, Centrally Sponsored Scheme Information Communication Technology in Schools (ICT@Schools) is introduced in the state. The ICT Policy in School Education aims at preparing youth to participate creatively in the learning processes. Establishment, sustenance, and growth of a knowledge society leading to individual employability, all round socio-economic development of the nation and global competitiveness.

Main vision of ICT @ Schools project is to provide Computer Aided Education and Computer Literacy in Secondary & Higher Secondary Schools in the state.

The Mission is to spread knowledge of computer and computer aided education covering all the schools and maximum number students of the Gujarat State. Implementation of ICT & ICT enabled activities and process will result in improved access, quality and efficiency in the school system.
